Business Development Specialist

Balihoo is looking for a Business Development Specialist to join their growing team in Boise, Idaho.  The Business Development Specialist’s role will be to become an expert on generating, prospecting, and qualifying leads.

As an active member of the Balihoo sales team, the Business Development Specialist will help to build pipeline and drive revenues, and the successful candidate will have tremendous opportunity for career growth. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to get their foot in the door of a growing, venture backed, high tech startup.

Responsibilities:

  • Reactive and proactive qualifying of leads over the phone
  • Inbound and outbound prospecting makers for Balihoo
  • Gain comprehensive understanding of Balihoo’s services
  • Making upwards of 60 phone calls per day to high-level decision makers
  • Increase and promote brand awareness of Balihoo’s solutions while qualifying potential customers
  • Utilize professional communication skills in order to research and interview prospective partners

Qualified candidates for this position are/have:

  • Highly self-motivated and driven
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • High energy and enthusiasm—eager to be on the phone and find opportunities
  • A passion for and/or interest in technology
  • Experience using CRM software (Salesforce)

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 1-3 years of previous successful sales experience in the software industry
  • 1+ year of prior lead generation experience
  • Advertising and marketing industry experience a plus
