Pete Gombert – Chief Executive Officer

Pete is an entrepreneur and visionary with extensive experience building software companies. He has been the founder or co-founder of three software-based businesses and has proven abilities to establish the vision and foster the growth necessary to return significant value to shareholders.

Pete’s software leadership experience spans multiple industries to include energy, finance, and media. Prior to Balihoo, Pete founded Enerx, a software company focused on the energy trading space. Upon selling the company to KW International, a London-based company that builds trading and risk management software for energy markets, he became Executive Vice President of International Operations. Previously, Pete was on the founding team of a financial services software and services firm. Pete holds a bachelors degree in accounting from Villanova University. In any spare time he finds, Pete can be found mountain biking in the Boise foothills and skiing in the central Idaho mountains. You can follow him on Twitter @pgombert.

Shane Vaughan – Chief Marketing Officer

Shane is responsible for all marketing activities including national and local customer acquisition, PR, AR and branding. Prior to Balihoo, Shane was at Hewlett-Packard where he was the Global Search Engine Marketing Manager setting the strategic direction and overall investment strategies for HP’s worldwide annual search spend. He has also led business development, customer acquisition and marketing programs for businesses of all sizes including Hewlett-Packard, Dailey & Associates Advertising and Wirestone. Shane is also a former Google Tech Council member, a 10 person advisory council chartered with providing search and internet marketing insight to Google. In his spare time Shane can usually be found with a board strapped to his feet on the numerous Idaho ski hills or expansive lakes. You can follow him on Twitter @balihoo.

Paul Price – Chief Technology Officer

Paul is responsible for leading engineering efforts, including software development and infrastructure. With more than eight years of hands-on experience in developing professional Software as a Service (SaaS) applications, Paul brings a broad technical knowledge and diverse set of tools, techniques, and best practices to Balihoo. Paul played a key role in developing the software and building the team that created Clearwater Analytics, the leading institutional investment reporting company. The software systems and tools he created allowed a small team to efficiently manage more than $5 billion in corporate cash for dozens of separate accounts while also managing additional trading strategies and hedge funds. In his spare time Paul unwinds outdoors by hunting, hiking, or dirt-biking.

Ron Clevenger – Vice President of Inside Sales

Ron is responsible for defining, building and leading the Balihoo inside sales organization whose mission is to sell Balihoo’s cloud based technology solutions and services to thousands of local businesses that desire the market’s most advanced marketing and advertising platform, historically only available to large national companies or corporate headquarters. 

Beginning his career on the telephones and in the field in front of prospective clients, he rose through the ranks to serve in many director and VP level sales leadership positions for both public and private software and hardware companies.   Ron has 15+ years of senior sales leadership experience in the technology industry with companies ranging from start-ups to those with annual revenues in excess of $2 billion. 

Prior to Balihoo, Ron was at Single Point Solutions where he was responsible for expanding their software business into new markets and expanding their cloud based product offerings.  Previously, Ron was VP of Sales for MPC Computers (formerly Micron PC) and Director of Worldwide Sales Operations for Segue Software (acquired by Borland).

Ron holds a bachelors degree in accounting and finance from Texas A&M University.  Outside of work Ron can usually be found with his family watching or coaching sports, camping in the Idaho wilderness or firing up his smoker for some great Texas BBQ.

Frank Knapp – Vice President of Enterprise Sales

Frank leads Balihoo's Direct-to-Enterprise sales efforts and is responsible for Strategic Business Development of our Partners. He has spent more than 12 years providing Marketing Solutions to Brands of all sizes - Fortune 500 companies and smaller organizations, both domestic and international.

Throughout his career, he has worked to develop strategies and implement solutions that enable automation and create efficiencies within the complex processes of Distributed Marketing; that is, helping Marketing Organizations, Brand Managers and Ad Agencies ensure timely and consistent delivery of their Branded messages throughout their sales network and to virtually every medium.

When he's not working to add terrific brands to the Balihoo family of Clients, he may be diving or playing golf, but is more likely watching one of his kids' baseball games or debate tournaments.

Andrew Piron – Vice President of Client Services

With an extreme passion for solving problems and bringing ideas to life, Andrew has worked in startup companies throughout his professional career. For 10 years Andrew worked in a number of venture capital funded startups in the San Francisco Bay Area such as SpotLife, Razorfish, MeeVee, and Roost. In 2004, Andrew and his wife Abigail started a boutique clothing company, Abigail Morgan on Union Street in San Francisco. It was during this time when he became deeply involved with retail, technology, local marketing, and inventory. Abigail Morgan grew to a multi-location business in northern California. In 2008, Andrew decided to change his family’s quality of life and moved from San Francisco to Boise, Idaho. In the fall of 2009, Andrew serendipitously met Pete Gombert, CEO of Balihoo and became intrigued with the problems Pete and the rest of the Balihoo team were addressing within the local marketing space. Andrew joined the Balihoo team shortly thereafter. And the rest is history in the making….. .
