Director of Sales

Balihoo is looking for an experienced sales professional to lead the sales efforts of our recently-released Marketer Edition. If you are passionate about driving sales to impact the growth and profitability of a dynamic, innovative, software startup and enjoy the challenge of a constantly evolving, fast-paced market place ripe with opportunity, then we would love to talk to you!

The Director of Sales should have experience selling marketing and advertising solutions to franchise organizations, national-level retailers or co-op marketers.  The ideal candidate will have significant experience prospecting and closing deals with senior marketers in national organizations (CMO, SVP/EVP/VP of Marketing).  The candidate will primarily be responsible for creating revenue strategies and driving sales for the Marketer Edition and drive account planning and business processes for key accounts.

The Director or Sales will be a key member of the organization who should be comfortable working in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment: they should have a demonstrated track record of working with marketing to help cultivate and drive inbound leads and define product positioning, working with product/technology to help evolve the product offering, and ultimately becoming the key information resource for the competitive market place.  This is an exciting time to take responsibility for sales of this innovative solution – we released the product in September, have already sold it into several national brands and are seeing strong immediate traction with prominent national corporations.

Candidates should possess the following:

  • 8+ years of sales experience, media, advertising, or marketing industry experience a must
  • Excellent consultative and creative selling skills
  • In-depth industry knowledge of traditional and digital media and its competitive landscape
  • Strong verbal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as contribute to a team environment
  • Flexibility and agility
  • Bachelors degree in related discipline

This position is based in Boise, ID and significant travel will be required (50%+).
