We are seeking a Lead QA Engineer to manage and actively participate in the design, development, execution and documentation of testing and quality assurance processes in our dynamic and fast paced environment.  In this role you will manage all technical QA efforts including regression testing, manual system testing (white box, black box, etc…) as well as overall bug management/issue resolution.

Your responsibilities will include working closely with our software development and product teams to develop a suite of automated test solutions for Balihoo's software products.  You will also coordinate the efforts of onshore and offshore QA team members to establish efficient, repeatable processes that will ensure product quality.  You will organize and oversee the generation and reporting of concise bug reports, bug tracking and statistics.

This is a technical leadership position; you must be an accomplished developer and skilled people motivator who is comfortable in a hands on leadership role.  You should also have a strong business sense and the ability work closely with the company's stake holders to prioritize QA efforts.

Primary responsibilities:

• Manage a team of technical and non-technical QA personnel both onshore and offshore
• Work with the engineering team to develop and ensure proper unit and integration testing practices
• Develop automated test plans and cases
• Ensure that software releases are deployed meeting quality and technical specifications
• Generate clear and concise defect reports, validate bug fixes and track statistics
• Provide input for product planning and prioritization
• Work in conjunction with the business to manage and appropriately prioritize bugs and issues
• Design and develop test plans, test cases for high availability

Candidate should possess the following:

• B.S. or M.S. in computer science or related field
• Expert knowledge of development and QA processes and methodologies
• Significant experience in internet application development and testing
• 3+ years team lead experience
• Experience working with defect tracking software
• Exposure to automation tools
• Proficiency in source control systems, preferably svn
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

This position is based in Boise, ID and minimal travel will be required.  Relocation assistance will be made available for the right candidate.
