I sent my resume into Balihoo; how come I haven’t heard back to schedule an interview?

Balihoo is a busy place filled with busy people. With all of the attention Balihoo is getting, it takes us a little while to thoroughly screen all the resumes we receive. You’ll automatically receive an email reply letting you know we received your resume and are considering it. If we decide, upon thoroughly reviewing your resume, that you are qualified for one of our open positions we will contact you to take the next step. If we do not contact you immediately to set up an interview, take heart in knowing that we retain all resumes for a year and will contact you if a position that fits your skill set becomes available.

I applied for a job at Balihoo, and I was perfect for it, but they didn’t hire me (or interview me) Why!?

Balihoo has a very rigorous screening and hiring process. As a small and fast-growing company it’s critical that everyone we bring in not only has the right skill set, but also fits great within the Balihoo culture. As a result we tend to hire very slowly, sometimes taking up to as long as 6 months to find the perfect person for a given position. If you weren’t hired or contacted to set up an interview it likely means that you weren’t identified as being among the top candidates for the position. To be completely honest, it’s a tough place to get a job, but once you’re hired the rewards are undoubtedly worth it. So don’t give up, keep an eye out for additional openings at Balihoo and feel free to re-apply to any job opening for which you believe you are qualified.

What is the best way to apply for a position at Balihoo?

If you see a position that you would like to be considered for send a detailed email to jobs@balihoo.com with your resume, a cover letter, and in the subject line of your email, include the title of the position for which you would like to be considered.
 
What do I do after I submit my resume?

Be patient. After receiving your email, we will review your qualifications to see if they match any open positions that we currently have. If they do, we will contact you to discuss the next steps of the hiring process. If we do not have a current opening matching your qualifications, we will retain your resume and contact information according to state guidelines.  Remember that good things come to those who wait.
